About
Meet Rachel
Hello, I am Rachel Sunda, on our journey together we will focus on uncovering your true desire for happiness and having that be met in a relationship with your world and those you interact with. By clearing away the noise of defence mechanisms that no longer serve you, you can further embrace your true self in the way you relate to yourself and to one another.
I am a
Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Independent Practice. I also hold a Masters degree from Tyndale University in clinical counselling.
I have advanced training in EFT (internship, core skills, certified EFIT and EFFT).
I have over 20 years of experience in private practice therapeutically using various counselling modalities
How I can help
My clinical focus is on working with couples and individuals who desire a greater feeling of being seen, heard and loved. I work individually and in relationships helping you meet your needs through difficulties due to past traumas, negative repetitive patterns, built-up resentment, grief, making changes and much more.
I am passionate about
EFT (emotionally focused therapy) where the foundation is in attachment theory. We are all wired for connectedness and relationships. Together we will uncover how the way we relate can help us gain insight and empathy into ourselves and others. As a woman in my mid-40s with two children under three, I am personally and professionally interested in working with couples with young children, fertility issues, and the processing of grief.
“The quality of our relationships directly influences how we feel, perceive and interact with our world. We can easily become stuck in patterns that rob us of a true feeling of connectedness.”
